How to Measure Mycotoxins in Animal Feedstuff

09 July 2015

This application note describes an SPE protocol appropriate for LC-MS/MS analysis of a range of mycotoxins found in animal feedstuff. The method uses ISOLUTE® Myco SPE columns and meets the requirements set in European regulations.

Mycotoxins can be fatal or cause severe illness even at small levels which is why effective methods and tools are essential to detect them. The method described achieves high recoveries of the relevant mycotoxins (aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A, fumonisin B1, zearalenone, T-2 mycotoxin, HT-2 mycotoxin and deoxynivalenol) from differing animal feed matrices.
